This wonderful soft velvet aubusson cushion design has been copied from an original 19th century gouache painting / carton or 'cartons de tapisserie'; paintings which were used as templates for the weavers to copy and transpose into a tapestery.
The design depicts fabulous swagged florals, rococo ornaments and a couple fishing.
The cushion is complete with a feather inner pad, a zippered linen back and is trimmed with a gorgeous luxury dusky pink pompom trim.
