This vichy check is a copy from an old scrap of French wallpaper! and is printed on an ivory white linen union base cloth.
Vichy is an area outside of Paris that produced this gorgeous fabric design which became known as Vichy check. Vichy check was also the primary furnishing fabric of the late 1700 and 1800 hundreds - even Bridget Bardot had her wedding dress made in a pink Vichy check!
Vichy check co-ordinates effortlessly with floral and toile fabrics.
